Akshay Kumar is back with his third film announcement of the year. After Bachchhan Paandey and Samrat Prithviraj, the superstar will be seen in Raksha Bandhan. After dropping the initial announcement on June 16, Akshay dropped the first-ever poster of the film and also announced the trailer release date.

Raksha Bandhan is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film directed by Aanand L. Rai and produced by Zee Studios, Colour Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films.[3] The story written by Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon revolves around the love, bonding and attachment between brother-sister.[4] Raksha Bandhan features Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar,[5][6] alongside Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb and Smrithi Srikanth who play Kumar's sisters.[7] The film will theatrically release on 11 August 2022.[2]
